Overview
Jellyfish Lake in the Togeans
Lake Mariona is an enclosed marine lake in the Togean Islands with a large population of Mastigias-type jellyfish. Their sting is very weak, so swimming among them is considered safe. The lake is usually visited by boat from Kadidiri.
The number of jellyfish changes with the season and conditions. They gather in the upper, sunlit part of the water.
